Professional Background

Richard Coles is an experienced lawyer both in England and in the Cayman Islands, being a Solicitor admitted in England, a Cayman Islands Attorney-at-law and Notary Public. From 1992 to 1999 he was the Attorney General for the Cayman Islands, a Member of the Cabinet and Legislative Assembly and a Government Minister having been appointed to that position on the recommendation of the British Government. Prior to that appointment he was the founding partner of a substantial firm of solicitors with offices in England. He has now reverted to private practice in Grand Cayman and sits on the Boards of a number of Cayman financial and investment companies.

Mr. Coles studied at the College of Law in London and is a Fellow of the Caribbean Law Institute. He is a member of the Law Society of England, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in London. Jean-Eric is Physic Professor at the Polytechnique in Paris (France). Previously he was first assistant in the Nanophysic Institute at the Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne (Switzerland). He was expert evaluator for the European Commission for the Essential Information Society and coordinator of the Top Nano 21 project in Switzerland. Jean-Eric published more than 30 articles in international scientific journals and spoke at more than 20 international conferences.

Jean-Eric is an expert in the area of magnetism and transport phenomena in nanostructured materials, including GMR, spintronics, magnetization, electrodeposition, - and magneto-phoretic deposition.

Luc-Olivier is currently acting as advisor to several start-up companies in the high-tech industry (microelectronics, display, lately micro- and nanotechnologies). He is as well an active board member of Neode, the new Science and Technology Park established by the Canton of Neuchatel. Over the last 30 years, Luc-Olivier accumulated extensive experience in building, developing and managing companies in the high-tech industry. Previously he was professor and head of the physics department at the Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne (Switzerland). For several years he was physics professor at Berkeley (USA). Previously he was researcher in the Solid State Division of the Oak Ridge National Laboratories (USA) and co-investigator for lunar material in the NASA Apollo project.

Dr. Carl O. Pabo is a world leader in issues involving the structure and design of DNA-binding proteins. Dr. Pabo has been a Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (1982-1991) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1991-2001), and has been an investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (1986-2001).He was Chief Scientific Officer at Sangamo BioSciences from 2001-2003 and has recently held appointments (while working on new theories about human thought) as a Visiting Professor at Cal Tech, Stanford, Berkeley, and Harvard. He is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Erik has 18 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining NanoDimension, he spent 4 years as the President & COO of Qcept Technologies where he worked to successfully bring Qcept’s patented inspection technology into the Semiconductor industry. Prior to that he spent 13 years with Ultratech; a $400M market cap semiconductor equipment manufacturer supplying the semiconductor, advanced packaging, and nanotechnology markets. Erik was the Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing & held numerous other positions in sales, service & operations.

Earlier in his career, Erik worked in Washington, D.C. for a senior Congressman as an advisor on trade issues and later joined Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) as a lobbyist promoting high tech public policy initiatives such as R&D tax credits, SEMATECH funding, and export control licensing relief. Erik finished his career with SEMI in Japan running SEMI’s Japanese market penetration program for U.S. and European members.

Erik received his B.A. in International Relations from Trinity College in Hartford CT. Erik is proficient in Japanese and his education also includes international studies in Brussels and Tianjin, China.

Peter is currently a researcher at the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM) and at the Institute of Microtechnology (IMT) at the University of Neuchàtel (Switzerland). Prior to his semi-retirement, Peter served in several research and management positions at IBM (Switzerland) during the last 40 years. Over this time, he emerged as one of the most prolific inventors within IBM. He started and led the Micro/Nanomechanics Group at IBM Rüschlikon (Switzerland), exploring new data storage techniques (project “Millipede”). Previously, he led for several year the IBM Rüschlikon research activities in micro/nanoscale fabrication techniques for superconductive, electronics and opto-electronics devices and circuits. Peter also spent extended time in the USA at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY, and at IBM's Semiconductor Plant in East Fishkill, NY. Peter is the author of more than 150 scientific publications and 70 patents.
